Have you ever been on the road and had the need to send an important email to a colleague, but did not know the email address of the receiver? Perhaps, there also have been instances where you needed to call an important client, supplier, or colleague, but you did not know the number as you were away from your office? PeopleSync is the solution to these problems.
PeopleSync synchronizes the enterprise’s address book, as well as the data from CRM systems, to your mobile phones and tablets. The Global Address List can be accessed on your phone via the Microsoft ActiveSync and LDAP. However, to do so requires an Internet connection. Offline synchronization of the GAL is not available by default. With PeopleSync, you are able to access the contact databases even when you are offline. This allows the user to access the contact data anywhere and anytime.
PeopleSync is not only able to synchronize the GAL to mobile devices, but it also synchronizes the contact data of CRM systems. It comes with synchronization agents for different enterprise sources, such as:
- Exchange Server
- SharePoint Server
- Office 365
- CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce and Microsoft CRM)
As PeopleSync uses the CardDAV standard as its synchronization protocol for mobile devices, it works with all major mobile devices platforms, such as Apple iOS (iPhones and iPads), Google Android (e.g., Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets), Microsoft Windows phones, and Blackberry OS 10 phones.
